There are various upmix tools out there in the market but Penteo is one of the absolute best in my opinion.

It allows you to upmix or downmix between a range of different formats including stereo, LCR, quad, 5.0, 5.1, 7.1, 5.1.2, 5.1.4, 7.1.2, 7.1.4, 9.1.6 and a range of ambisonics formats plus other formats such as Auro 3D and DTSX. In fact, the complete list is too long to list here but basically, if you’re working with any channel format from stereo upwards, Penteo has you covered.

Penteo creates upmixes which work well without sounding forced. The results are very natural and it’s impressive that the downmixes work as well as they do.
